Located in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe hills, Alessandro Rivetto represents the fourth generation of a family deeply rooted in winemaking. In 2012, Alessandro launched his own winery project, building on decades of family tradition while focusing on crafting wines that reflect the character of the Langhe terroir.
The estate spans about 18 hectares of vineyards across La Morra, Serralunga d’Alba, Sinio, and Alba—some of the most renowned villages for Nebbiolo and Barolo production. Here, careful vineyard work and hand harvesting ensure that each grape expresses the unique soils and microclimates of these celebrated hills.
Alessandro focuses on Piedmont’s classic native varieties, including Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, along with small productions of the rare white grape Nascetta. Traditional winemaking techniques—such as aging in large Slavonian oak casks and French barriques—are combined with a modern approach to highlight purity, elegance, and a strong sense of place in every bottle.
The result is a collection of refined, terroir-driven wines that capture the depth, structure, and timeless character of Piedmont’s legendary wine region.

Nestled in the hills of western Sicily’s Belice Valley, Possente is a family-run winery dedicated to expressing the authentic character of the land. Run by siblings Antonio, Maria, and Stefania Possente, the estate continues a family tradition of viticulture rooted in respect for nature and the rhythms of the Mediterranean landscape.
The vineyards stretch across roughly 37 hectares between Alcamo and Salaparuta, where warm Mediterranean sunshine, cooling winds, and mineral-rich sandy and calcareous soils create ideal conditions for growing grapes.
Possente focuses on organic farming and artisanal winemaking, cultivating both classic Sicilian varieties—such as Catarratto, Grillo, Nero d’Avola, and Zibibbo—alongside a few international grapes. The philosophy is simple: work the land naturally and let the terroir speak through wines that reflect the aromas, flavors, and spirit of Sicily.
The result is a collection of vibrant, character-driven wines that capture the warmth of the Sicilian sun, the freshness of coastal breezes, and the deep traditions of this historic wine region.

TIP:
Advance preparation: You can begin up to several hours before serving: proceed with the recipe and cook halfway through Step 4, for about 10 minutes. The rice should still be hard in the middle when you remove it from the heat, and there should not be any liquid in the pan. Spread it in an even layer in the pan or on a baking sheet and keep it away from the heat until you resume cooking. 15 minutes before serving, resume cooking as instructed.
